Music on Sunday; Monday boost

We had a week off and tomorrow a new work week begins. To start the week off with high spirits here are some happy songs to clear away the Monday blues;

“See the Bedouin fires at night. See the oil fields at first light. And see the bird with a leaf in her mouth after the flood all the colors came out” (Day!) It was a beautiful day. Don't let it get away.”

U2 addresses just about every feeling you could be feeling on a Monday (because, you know, Monday morning seems to magnify every issue we have) but the song also reminds you that it’s a beautiful day anyway.

“Shining like a diamond, rolling with the dice, standing on the ledge, I show the wind how to fly. When the world gets in my face, I say, have a nice day. Have a nice day.”

This song is guaranteed to put a smile on your face so go ahead and spread the Monday merriness

"Keep on with the force, don't stop. Don't stop 'til you get enough”

You can’t have a feel-good playlist without the great Michael Jackson.

"Take nothing less than the supreme best. Do not obey, for most people say 'cause you can pass the test. So what we have to do is move on up and keep on wishing. Remember your dream is your only scheme so keep on pushing . . .”

Shake Monday misery off with Curtis Mayfield. He’ll remind you of what it is you’re here to do. Every day is a journey toward your dream so keep pushing, keep winning, and keep dancing.

"And we live in a beautiful world"

Coldplay always makes me happy anyway, so maybe not that perky but indeed a reminder of the beauty in the world if you need it.

"Sun is shining, the weather is sweet, yeah. Make you wanna move your dancing feet now. To the rescue, here I am . . .”

This is always a good song to start your day. There’s no one better than the legendary King of Cool to tell you to get over yourself. Bob Marley was telling us to ‘keep calm’ long before it was mainstream. So even if the weather is a bit dreary outside, and even if your Monday got off to a bad start, keep calm and let the metaphorical sun shine through your day. Because Bob Marley (kind of) said so.
