Trump child separarions; Humanity down the drain

Just when you thought he couldn't get to a new low, he did. Trump has separated the South and Middle-American children from their parents as soon as they came across the border seeking asylum. Children, babies sometimes, young, older it doesn't matter to him, they get put in cages. Yes cages.

Does this remind us of someone, say a man who started separating children from their parents around 1934 on, here in Europe? Didn't we all say; never again? Yes we did and no never again!
It doesn't matter what colour your skin is, or what religion you have, you should always be treated with dignity, humanity.
It's not understandable to me that this is happening in this day and age in a America... the land of the free? Yes if you're white and priviliged perhaps, not if you're of colour and want to persue your dream.

Crimes against humanity this is called, but not for this American 'president' who thinks he can afford all. Rise up against this man! Don't let it happen again!

Wednesday Wisdom

What's going on in the world today, especially in Syria is making me feel disapointed in humanity!
What would we want if we were in their shoes? We would like to be helped! It doesn't matter what religion one has, or what colour their skin, if humans are being murdered, if there is genocide, the world must help! Not look away! I'm ashamed for mankind...

Being Social on Social Media

There used to be a time or at least that is my perception of it; that our country (the Netherlands) was a tolerant country. We were known for our tolerance world wide even. Nowadays with the refugee crisis and social media you really think we've all been the total opposite and not only we Dutch, the whole world is behaving like madmen especially on Social Media! Why is it that when it comes to 'being social' people are the most unsocial they can get?

I am using Facebook and Twitter and of course my blog. I have found online friends via Twitter and other social media that I would never have found elsewhere. I can really say it's my social boost of each day. Every day I talk to my friends on Twitter from all over the world. I have even met some of them in real life and they have become the best of friends. Even my hub I met online through a forum. Nothing wrong with that.
But I have seen a lot of comments from people who think they just are allowed to say just about anything just because they don't tweet/post under their own name.
Shouldn't there be some sort of Social Media etiquette on how to behave? I think you should have proper manners just as in real life where you don't go and call every one names as well but perhaps that's just me.

The same applies for what you put on your Social Media accounts like Facebook or Twitter under your real name. What if you post your silly holiday pictures drunk as a skunk and apply for that dream job a year later? What do you think your boss is going to do before hiring your? Right, he is going to Facebook and Google you! What does he see? The drunk pictures. Goodbye dream job!
Yesterday there was an item on the news here about a mum in England who was angry about her 12 year old son who had bullied a girl at school. She had put her anger about it on Facebook tagging her son for the world to see and doesn't think there is anything wrong with it. But what if he is older and wants that dream job and his future boss Facebooks him? Thank you mum for not handling it yourself but thinking the world had to see all that!

Social Media is meant to be social, or as the Dictionary says it; Social - Relating to or designed for activities in which people meet each other for pleasure.
Pleasure people! Not knocking eachother about verbally!
Some actors or singers have even suspended their accounts because of the harasments.
I hate bullying; this is just grown ups bullying on Social media just because they are anonymous.

Let's all make this world a bit better starting with ourselves. If you don't have anything nice to say; don't say anything at all.

Refugees; No human is illegal

Everywhere you look; tv or social media, you read/see about the refugees and their fate. 

But what strikes me more and more is the way people are talking about other people. The way my country is handling this worldwide problem. Or not handling it to be honest. The way some are talking is shameful to say the least.

The Netherlands has always been known for its tolerance but over the years we have become the least tolerant country in Europe I think. 

It's shocking how some people are talking about the boat refugees. What they are saying I shall not repeat but it's horrible and inhumane. Yes, cruel even. You are not worth to be calling yourself part of the human race if you talk about other humans like that. Even animals treat each other better.

A lot of refugees don't run from their country because of economical reasons; sure there always will be some that do and the media is always putting it's focus on them, but most of them flee from their country because they simply have to. Because of Al Quada, ISIS or other extremist groups. They don't have a choice. If they would, they would simply stay. 

They would not leave their belongings and pick up only a few things and their entire family, if even that, and make the hard and often dangerous journey to freedom from persecution. Most people scream bloody murder that 'the Muslims are taking over' but it's just nonsense. A lot of them are fleeing because they are Christians and can't be who they want to be in their own country, or for their sexual orientation. Let's face it; who would dare take an overcrowded ship with the risk of sinking in the middle of the ocean with small children if they didn't have too?

The reactions are also often out of ignorance but even then; did they all really forget what happened in WOII? When lots of people were persecuted for being 'the wrong race' or being different?
We are all equal; we are all human.

It is time we started to help each other instead of pointing fingers and blaming. Let's just make it a better world for everyone to live in, not only in your little corner of the world.
Better the world, start with yourself and the way you talk about other human beings. You can't judge unless you have walked in their shoes and I don't think you would want that...
For this blog I needed pics and saw the most horrid photos of cut off heads done by those extremists... I didn't put them on here but those pics might have made an impact on those hateful and spiteful commentors.

Helping the refugees is something all of the world should do, not only Greece and Italy where they first land. We all need to take our responsibility. I read that about 207.000 refugees have come to Europe so far; that's 8625 per member state; about 2156 families per country. That's not so much now is it? Can't we all just help those people, like we would want to be helped, like we were helped when we were at war so many years ago?

It's not all that black and white, or is it?

For a long time I thought I didn't want to say anything about this on my blog but after watching this vid on Tumblr just now I just had too. I'm appalled by seeing how this is still the case in for instance the USA. How white people who are destroying property or misbehaving aren't called thugs but black people having a peaceful demonstration are. Watch this clip and judge for yourself;




I believe firmly that we are not black or white or other colours. We are one race, we are the human race! I do not discriminate on colour, beliefs, sexual preference or what ever. We live on this planet together we should all make something of it, in peace and harmony! Live and let live.

Sometimes at work I come at clients homes where the client is discriminating and even though they are old people I always tell them that they don't have the right to. They knew what war was, they were glad they got saved that it was finally over. They always tell me that after they built up the country the Turkish people came and 'took over their jobs'. No they did not! They came because the Dutch people felt they were too good to do the dirty work and those people were needed to do those jobs! Don't whine now that they are here, they worked damn hard to be here and have every right to! I absoluty can't stand discrimination.

The footage in that vid where the young boys trash the private property happens here too after footbal matches sometimes. I have always told my sons that if I here about them trashing things or stealing or thughing I will hand them over to the police myself! I do believe that a large part of that behaviour is due to pampering of those kids. When we were teens our parents were a lot stricter than the parents nowadays.
What if the parents today would actually go back to being parents again instead of being 'friends' of their offspring and stop pampering them? Wouldn't that be part of solving a lot of problems?

Inhumanity

Long have I thought about writing a blog about this subject but I feel like I have too. I can't keep quiet any longer. I am ashamed. Deadly ashamed no less. I feel so ashamed to be Dutch at this point in life. I feel ashamed to live in a country where the rich are getting richer and the poor poorer and where the government is turning it's back on poor helpless people who are fleeing from their homes because of violence, because ISIS, because they just can't take it anymore. Meanwhile the rich are filling their pockets even more, bank managers, big business men, politicians you name it, and the people of my country are screaming bloody murder. The illegal immigrants must go, they're at fault of course they're to blame!

Our government has made some decision for failed or undocumented asylum seekers.
Prime Minister Mark Rutte's centre-right Liberals said offering continued support would attract more migrants. Their Labour coalition partner backed a policy of "bed, bath and bread" for people in need, even if they had been refused asylum.
Dutch media reported that the parties had agreed a deal whereby failed asylum seekers would be housed, but for a limited time only and in just five major cities -- including Amsterdam and Rotterdam -- and not countrywide as now.

I understand that there is a big problem. But there's also something called humanity! After the accident where boat refugees were killed drowned at sea there was a lot of social media noise. Or should I call it filth. People saying all kind of horrible things about the dead people I'm not going to repeat here. Where are you in your own life that you can wish someone dead? How bad a person are you yourself if you can wish that on someone you don't even know?

Can you honestly say that this picture doesn't effect you? A dead Syrian girl? Drowned trying to escape the tyrand Assad with her family?
Even the elderly people where I work are ruthless, they should know better having lived through WWII. No apparently 70 years of peace didn't make a difference. They think they worked hard for it after the war and that others like 'them' should not profit from their labours. How can you think like that? I honestly can't fathom that!
It is beyond me! There is such a thing as Human Rights and if the place where you live is unsafe, of course you run like hell! I would!

So yes, I am deeply ashamed. I am ashamed for mankind, for people in general, for my country. Men are really the worst animals on Earth.
